Our Mission

Our Story:

Battleship USS Iowa was saved by the Pacific Battleship Center in 2011. Opening as a museum in 2012, the ship is sustained as a top-5 attraction in Los Angeles, per TripAdvisor. In 2021, the organization received a Congressional Designation to become the National Museum of the Surface Navy. In support of this initiative and to fulfill the needs of the community, our mission has evolved in pursuit of a greater vision.
